Your Breath

You made me feel human again.
Your touch, your laughter, your
breath, everything showed me what
it is like to be a person:
a living. breathing person.
You came into my life at a time
when I thought everything was
against me, everything would kill
me. You showed me everything I had
to live and fight for.
In that short period I called you
mine. You made me feel like there
were galaxies in my veins and like
the stars made their home in my
eyes.
I’ll forever be grateful to the
universe for bringing you to me.
and at the same time I’ll never
forgive it for taking you away.

Touch

I miss the excitement,

I miss having arms around me,

As our laughs twirl through the air,

I miss the way a touch can speak, when words aren’t

enough

How hands become artists,

painting my body,

From head to toe,

Caressing my face,

Tracing my spine;

It made me feel alive;

But now,

I’m scared of being touched,

And not because their touch hurt,

But because of how much it hurts,

When their touch stops.

Your Voice

 I heard your voice in the wind today

and I turned to see your face;

The warmth of the wind caressed me

as I stood silently in place.

I felt your touch in the sun today

as its warmth filled the sky;

I closed my eyes for your embrace

and my spirit soared high.

I saw your eyes in the window pane

as i watched the falling rain;

it seemed as each raindrop fell

it quietly said your name.

I held you close in my heart today

it made me feel complete;

You my have died…but you are not gone

you will always be a part of me.

As long as the sun shines..

the wind blows..

the rain falls…

You will live on inside of me forever

for that is all my heart knows.
